The Healthy Living Programme (HLP) team embarked on a successful rural community outreach trip to Fort William and Skye at the start of April, from the 2nd to the 7th. The mission: to ensure children in these remote areas had access to healthy breakfast choices.

The journey began in Fort William, where the HLP team received a fantastic welcome. At Lundavra Primary School, a remarkable 218 pupils tucked into a nutritious breakfast, a testament to the generous support from SPAR Scotland, with special thanks to Christine from SPAR, Grange. Weetabix's ongoing commitment also played a crucial role, ensuring children could access healthier breakfast options. The team then moved on to Inverlochy Primary School, where pupils also enjoyed a healthy start to their day, supported by Gillian from SPAR Scotland, who met with the children.

Continuing their vital work, the HLP team then travelled to Skye. At Sleat Primary School, the pupils, alongside Catherine from Armadale Stores, provided a massive welcome. The breakfast served there clearly made an impression, with one pupil enthusiastically declaring it "the best breakfast ever" they had tried. This impactful session was made possible by the excellent supply of products from Armadale Stores, once again supported by Weetabix.

The week-long trip, covering visits to multiple schools, proved to be an overwhelming success.
