Bervie Primary School

Yesterday morning, the Healthy Living Programme (HLP) team arrived at Bervie Primary School in Inverbervie to host our latest Welby Breakfast event.

The goal was simple but vital, to show pupils exactly how a healthy, balanced breakfast can set them up for a successful day of learning. By focusing on nutritious choices, we aim to help children understand the link between what they eat in the morning and their ability to concentrate and engage in class.

We were thrilled to serve a total of 204 healthy breakfasts during the event. This massive effort was made possible through our partnership with Scotmid, who acted as both the wholesaler and retailer for the event.

Having local retailers involved is a key part of the programme, as it builds a bridge between the school and the wider community. We were delighted to be joined by Lynne and Alan, alongside Store Manager Tracey from the local Scotmid, who all rolled up their sleeves to help serve every one of those 204 breakfasts!

A big thank you to the staff and pupils at Bervie Primary for such a warm welcome and for making the morning so enjoyable.
