On June 5th, the Healthy Living Programme hosted a successful Welby Breakfast at Arkleston Primary. SPAR Renfrew's Saleem, Waseem, and Angie, recent Lifetime Achievement award winners, showed incredible dedication serving 307 pupils.
What an absolutely brilliant start to the day we had on June 5th, 2025, at Arkleston Primary School! The Healthy Living Programme was thrilled to host a special Welby Breakfast event, serving a fantastic, healthy meal to 307 pupils.
This wasn't just any breakfast, though. We had some truly outstanding guests join us: Saleem, Waseem, and Angie from SPAR Renfrew. Talk about community champions! These three incredible individuals had just scooped up the Lifetime Achievement award at the Scottish Local Retailer awards the night before, and yet, there they were at 8 AM, bright and early, serving breakfast with huge smiles and amazing energy. Their dedication perfectly shows what true community retailing is all about – going that extra mile for the people they serve.
A big thank you also goes out to Helen, Sarah, and Gary from SLR Magazine for joining us, capturing the wonderful atmosphere of the morning.
This event was a fantastic team effort, with essential support from CJ Lang Scotland as our wholesaler, and the tireless work of Saleem Sadiq and the entire SPAR Renfrew team.
