The Healthy Living Programme (HLP) was pleased to attend and showcase its work at the recent UN International Year of Cooperatives Parliamentary Reception. HLP representatives, Gillian and Kathryn, were there to highlight the Programme's key role in building healthier communities through working with others.
The reception, hosted by Scotmid Co-operative, was an important event to show the strength of co-operative growth in Scotland. Talks focused on how co-operative models can help tackle Scotland's urgent economic, social, and environmental challenges, boost local community development, and help grow future generations of co-operators.
The evening was a lively celebration of the great work done by Scotland's many co-operatives. It also served to highlight the chances for co-operative and other businesses to play a big part in building a fairer, stronger, and lasting economy across Scotland.
The Healthy Living Programme is very grateful to Scotmid Community for the invitation to this event. Our attendance showed HLP's strong commitment to partnerships and community involvement, proving how our work fits with wider goals of health, lasting well-being, and economic strength across the country.
