The Healthy Living Programme (HLP) recently held its final Welby Breakfast event before the summer holidays, with a fantastic morning at Hillview Primary School. The event, which saw 235 nutritious breakfasts served to eager pupils, provided a great start to the day and a vital energy boost ahead of the school day.
The HLP team was especially delighted to welcome Carol Mochan MSP for South Scotland, who attended the event to witness firsthand the incredible impact these healthy breakfasts have on the pupils. Ms. Mochan observed the bustling atmosphere and the positive effect of a wholesome morning meal on the children's readiness for learning.
The success of the event was significantly supported by the continued and invaluable support of key partners. A huge thank you is extended to the amazing team from Scotmid Co-op, including Margaret-Ann, Gavin, Charles, and Lynn. And also, thank you to Luke from the Scottish Grocers' Federation (SGF) for his presence and support.
This event highlights the ongoing importance of our work, and we're excited to be back after the summer holidays, continuing to serve our Welby Breakfasts and making a difference to community health throughout Scotland.
